Leasing, Inc. is family owned and operated. The company opened
its first store in Brownsville, Texas in December of 1979. The
Harlingen,Texas store was opened in 1983, while the McAllen
store started in 1985 and the Weslaco store opened in December
of 1997. Furniture Leasing Inc. was originally a "rent-to-rent"
store servicing the apartment industry and those who needed
furniture for a short time only, but people began asking if
they could acquire ownership. Thus Furniture Leasing became
the first "rent-to-own" store in the Rio Grande Valley.
Furniture Leasing still does both rent-to-rent and rent-to-own;
however, rent-to-own has become the tail that wags the dog,
so to speak. In addition to rental, Furniture Leasing also sells.
A large part of Furniture Leasing's business is cash sales.
Furniture Leasing's prices are such that their competition is
not other rental stores, but is the traditional retail store.
The owners of Furniture Leasing spent 32 years as furniture
manufacturer representatives with showrooms in the World Trade
Center in Dallas. Because of their vast furniture knowledge
and factory contacts, they know where and how to find the best
quality at the most reasonable price.Furniture Leasing has the
largest selection of rent-to-own furniture in the Valley. The
advantages of rent-to-own are that no credit is necessary, there
is no deposit required, delivery and service are free and the
customer pays low weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payments and
there is no long term obligation. |
